Jetour Zongheng G700 PHEV with external oxygen generator, 1,400 km range, and 892 hp enters market at 46,300 USD
On October 19, Chery’s Jetour brand launched its Zongheng G700 plug-in hybrid off-road SUV, available in four trims, with a price range of 329,900 to 414,900 yuan (46,300 to 58,200 USD). The new car has a 1,400 km comprehensive range, and features an external oxygen generator and military-grade turboprops.

The Jetour Zongheng G700 adopts the popular square box design of hardcore off-road SUV. It weighs 3 tons in terms of curb weight and has dimensions of 5198/2050/1956 mm (l/w/h), and a wheelbase of 2870 mm. Its maximum towing capacity is 2.5 tons. Both 5- and 6-seater layouts are offered, along with seven exterior paints: orange, blue, brown, silver, black, white, and gray.

Just three days ago, the Jetour Zongheng G700 became the first SUV to successfully cross the Yangtze River, in which it drove 1,480 meters across the river in 22 minutes. The vehicle features two military-grade turboprops on each side of the rear, each with a maximum power output of 18 kW (24 hp), providing a total of 3,000 N of thrust.
The maximum wading depth is 970 mm, apparoach angle is 35°, and departure angle is 28°.
At the same time, the Jetour Zongheng G700 features an external oxygen generator, capable of generating up to 3L/min of oxygen.

In terms of intelligent driving, the entry-level trims are equipped with Chery’s Falcon 500 advanced driving assistance system supported by 28 sensors and the top-of-the-line trim is equipped with the Falcon 700 built based on Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.0 supported by 33 sensors.

The powertrain is supplied by Chery’s Kunpeng super-performance electric hybrid CDM-O system, consisting of a 2.0TD engine and dual electric motors, mated to a 2-speed DHT, delivering a combined system power of 665 kW (892 hp), a peak torque of 1,135 Nm, and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 4.6 seconds across the entire series. The engine delivers 155 kW (208 hp) of maximum power, 340 Nm of torque, and a thermal efficiency of 45.5%. At this time, the detailed electric motor specifications have not been revealed.
The 31.4 kWh Shenxing (lithium iron phosphate) 4C battery is supplied by CATL, which provides a pure electric range of 150 km. The comprehensive range is 1,400 km under a full fuel tank (100 L of volume) and full charge.
Under fast charging, the Jetour Zongheng G700 takes 10 minutes to recharge the battery from 20% to 80%.

Additionally, the XWD all-terrain intelligent control system onboard the vehicle supports 14+X driving modes. The X mode can automatically sense the road conditions and switch to the most appropriate driving mode. The Jetour Zongheng G700 can also park on a maximum slope of 70%.

Inside the cabin, there is a 35.4-inch 3K telescopic display behind the dashboard, a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen, and a 17.3-inch 3K ceiling entertainment screen (except on the entry-level trims).

Furthermore, Lexicon speakers and vehicle satellite communication are optional configurations.
