GWM has introduced updated specifications for the Tank 300 Hi4-T, bringing a new battery supplier and revised electric motor output, while maintaining its price at 249,800 yuan (approximately 35,350 USD), according to D-Auto. The core technical update involves the three-electric system. The PHEV drivetrain combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a front-mounted electric motor. The engine produces 252 hp and 380 N·m of torque.

The electric motor’s maximum output has increased from 120 kW to 130 kW, and peak torque rises from 400 N·m to 495 N·m, yielding a combined system power of 310 kW. The 36.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, now supplied by CATL, supports a WLTC-standard pure-electric range of 105 kilometres. DC fast charging from 30 to 80 per cent has been reduced from 0.4 hours to 0.27 hours, while AC charging remains about 6.5 hours. The powertrain continues to use a 9-speed automatic transmission with four-wheel drive.

The 2025 Hi4-T retains the exterior styling of the previous Tank 300 generation. Its boxy SUV proportions include a rectangular grille, circular smoked headlights, roof rails, multi-spoke dual-colour wheels, and a side-opening tailgate with a full-size spare tyre. Front and rear bumpers, fog lights, and vertical taillight assemblies maintain the model’s rugged design language. The overall dimensions remain 4750 mm long, 1930 mm wide, 1903 mm tall, with a 2750 mm wheelbase.

Interior includes a floating central 14.6-inch touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster, dual 50 W wireless front-charging pads, and chrome-trimmed surfaces. Standard equipment encompasses a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel, electronic gear selector, and physical buttons for off-road functions such as drive mode selection, differential locks, and the Tank Turn feature, also called “Turn Assist.” Additional features include L2-level driver assistance, auto LED headlights, power sunroof, auto wipers, front-seat electric adjustment and heating, rear AC vents, and a 360-degree camera system.

Sales data show that between January and October 2025, the Tank 300 Hi4-T achieved cumulative domestic sales of 24,254 units. The broader Tank 300 range now spans petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid configurations.
