Spy photos of the Geely Galaxy M7 have surfaced in China, offering a first detailed look at the cabin of the upcoming compact plug-in hybrid SUV, as reported by Autohome. The model has already appeared in official exterior regulatory filings, and the newly obtained interior images further confirm its positioning and design direction ahead of launch.

The spy photos show that the Galaxy M7’s interior design is highly similar to that of the Galaxy Starship 7 (known as Geely Starray in global markets). The overall layout, including the steering wheel design, floating central touchscreen, central tunnel control buttons, and the general dashboard structure, closely matches that of the Starship 7. The seat upholstery pattern shown in the images matches that used on the Starship 7, indicating shared interior components between the two models.

At the same time, the images reveal several interior differences distinguishing the Galaxy M7 from the Starship 7. The Galaxy M7 does not feature a full-width integrated air vent design. The instrument display is not fully floating, and the door panels feature piano-black decorative trim. These elements indicate a revised interior execution while maintaining a common design framework.

Previously released exterior regulatory images show that the Galaxy M7 also shares similarities with the Starship 7 in overall styling. The upper portion of the front fascia follows a similar design, while the front bumper features a different shape, with chrome trim elements that emphasise the lower air channel areas. Conventional door handles are retained.

According to Chinese regulatory data, the Galaxy M7 measures 4,770 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm. The vehicle is configured as a five-seat SUV. The roofline slopes downward toward the rear, and the tail features a full-width taillight with the English Geely brand logo centrally positioned.

Powertrain information from the filing shows that the Galaxy M7 is equipped with a 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid system. The gasoline engine produces a maximum output of 82 kW and is paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery. The declared top speed is 180 km/h. Electric motor specifications and pure electric driving range have not been disclosed.

The Galaxy M7 is positioned below the Galaxy M9 within Geely’s Galaxy lineup and expands the brand’s compact plug-in hybrid SUV range.
