On April 22, ahead of the Beijing Auto Show, the Buick Electra E7 was officially launched with three variants. The official price range is 159,900–199,900 yuan (23,200–29,000 USD). The model was first unveiled in January, will make its public debut during the Beijing Auto Show.
Design and dimensions
The Buick Electra E7 adopts the “spread wing” design philosophy from the Electra SUV concept car. Its split Star River headlight clusters create a shark-nose front fascia. Four exterior colors are available: Songyan Ink, Satin Silver, Golden Sand Beige, and Distant Mountain Dai.
The vehicle measures 4850mm in length, 1910mm in width, and 1676mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2850mm. A lidar unit mounted on the roof enables the advanced driver assistance system powered by the Momenta R6 reinforcement learning model, providing full-scenario assisted driving capabilities.

Interior and features
Inside, the Electra E7 features an 8.8-inch instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central display, and a 50-inch AR HUD, supporting CarPlay, HiCar, and CarLink connectivity. The five-seat layout includes four floating-layer seats, all equipped with three-level heating and ventilation as standard. The front seats offer multi-point massage and electric adjustment, while the rear seatbacks support 115°–125° electric adjustment with 270° leather wrapping.
The front passenger seat is an Eames-style zero-gravity recliner with a zero-gravity frame structure, featuring multi-angle electric adjustment for the cushion, backrest, and leg rest to achieve a dual 120° lying position for abdomen and leg angles.
Additional features include a multi-functional table in the second row, a TUV-certified eye-protection smart ceiling light, a silver ion fresh-keeping heating/cooling box (2–50°C), a 15.6-inch rear cinema screen, and a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos 20-speaker surround sound system. The cargo capacity ranges from 650L to 1798L.

Powertrain and performance
The Electra E7 is equipped with the “True Dragon Plug-in Hybrid Pro” system. The 1.5T hybrid-specific engine outputs a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp) and maximum torque of 230 N·m, while the electric motor delivers 165 kW (221 hp), for a combined system output of 280 kW (375 hp). A second powertrain option features a 1.5L engine with 72 kW (97 hp) paired with the same 165 kW (221 hp) motor, producing a combined 237 kW (318 hp).
The 32.6 kWh battery pack provides a CLTC pure electric range of 235km and a combined range of 1630 km. The vehicle also features predictive RTD continuous damping variable suspension, scanning road conditions 500 times per second to actively filter bumps and vibrations.

Buick sells over 30,000 vehicles annually in the Chinese market; this March, its sales reached 34,969 units, a 5% increase compared to the same period last year.
