Xiaomi has announced at the ongoing Beijing Auto Show that the Xiaomi YU7 GT will be officially unveiled in late May. The new model largely inherits the design of the standard YU7 but introduces new colours, aero packages, and upgraded performance components. The vehicle appeared in regulatory filings in February.

As the YU7’s answer to Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, CarNewsChina expects the YU7 GT to be priced between 450,000-500,000 yuan (65,200-72,500 USD).

Design and exterior

The YU7 GT features an aggressive front fascia and debuts a new Cherry Red exterior colour. The front end showcases the brand’s signature “water-drop headlights” with a hollowed-out design. The vehicle comes equipped with a prominent front splitter, an enhanced rear diffuser, and massive brake callipers.

Additional exterior highlights include an optional 24K carbon fibre badge and 295/40 R22 tyres. The side profile adopts a low-drag design similar to the Xiaomi SU7, featuring frameless exterior mirrors, electric flush door handles, 10 sets of through-air channels with 19 vents, and 21-inch wheels with wider wheel arches.

At the rear, the YU7 GT retains classic SU7 design elements such as a dynamic ducktail spoiler and distinctive “halo taillights,” while adding an exaggerated vertical-blade diffuser and exclusive GT badging.

The YU7 GT employs a dual-motor system:

• Front motor: 288 kW (386 hp)
• Rear motor: 450 kW (604 hp)
• Combined output: 738 kW (990 hp)

Performance specifications include:

• CLTC range: 705 km
• Top speed: 300 km/h

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun described the YU7 GT as a “pure-blooded GT” – a sports car-level SUV designed for both driving pleasure and long-distance travel. The company tuned the vehicle at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, targeting German-style handling dynamics.

The YU7 GT is equipped with:

Last year, the launch of the Xiaomi SU7 accumulated a massive number of orders, but as those orders have been fulfilled, sales of the Xiaomi SU7 have begun to decline in recent months.
