Voyah’s FE coupe SUV emerges as a Xiaomi YU7 lookalike
Voyah has officially released teaser images of its first coupe SUV, internally codenamed “FE,” which is scheduled to hit the market in mid-2026. The vehicle’s camouflage features prominent labels such as “896” and “Quad-LiDAR,” signalling the integration of Huawei’s Qiankun 896-line quad-LiDAR system and the Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving suite.
The exterior of Voyah FE is engineered with 10 sets of through-ducts and 18 vents, complemented by dual active intake grilles. Notable aerodynamic features include:
- Two ventilation ducts on the hood channel upward airflow.
- Front fender vents designed to eliminate turbulence within the wheel arches.
- A large sports rear wing with a hollow spoiler to manage airflow effectively.
The SUV sits on 21-inch wheels paired with sport callipers.
Safety and autonomous capabilities are anchored by a comprehensive suite of 32 sensors, including:
- 4 LiDAR units (Huawei Qiankun 896-line).
- 3 front-facing distributed 4D millimetre-wave radars.
- 2 rear millimetre-wave radars.
- 11 high-definition cameras.
- 12 parking radars.
In January this year, Shao Mingfeng, CBO of Voyah and General Manager of its sales company, previewed four brand-new models set to debut within the year: China’s first mass-produced L3-level SUV, the Voyah Taishan Ultra; the large five-seater SUV, the Voyah Taishan X8; an all-new FUV codenamed “FE”; and a 500,000-yuan (73,500 USD) class MPV codenamed “Everest”.

Voyah is the high-end new energy brand under Dongfeng (originally known as Second Automobile Works), China’s second-largest state-owned car manufacturer. Over the past 12 months, its monthly sales have consistently exceeded 10,000 units, with the sole exception of February this year due to the impact of the Lunar New Year holiday.
Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited (Dongfeng Group) made an announcement late on August 22nd 2026, aimed at optimising resource allocation and strategic layout. The plan involves its subsidiary, Voyah Automobile, listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) via introduction, while Dongfeng Group simultaneously undergoes privatisation and delisting. On 20 March this year, Voyah officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
