Chengdu Auto Show: Chery Cowin 1 goes WRC and Fast & Furious
Here we have a very sporty Chery Cowin 1, seen on the Chengdu Auto Show. The normally rather boring Cowin 1 comes with a fat-ass body kit and some cool stickers: ‘WRC Auto Sports’ and ‘The Fast and the Furious’. Wheels are sadly standard and that ain’t too good for such a sporty vehicle. Buyers can take it right away from the floor, a local dealer is offering the package for 36.000 yuan and that is very cheap.
The Cowin 1 is based on the same platform as the Chery QQ3. Engines: 1.0 and 1.3, mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. This sporty weird thing is indeed really a bargain, the Cowin 1 is officially priced between 36.900 yuan and 52.900 yuan. We don’t know what’s under the hood here but seeing how fast it loox like it better be the 1.3!
