Spy Shots: facelift for the MG5 in China

New spy shots showing the facelifted MG5 testing in China, it will debut on the Guangzhou Auto Show in November and it will be launched on the China car market just before the end of the year. The facelift includes a new grille, new head lights, and new bumpers.

The current MG5. Price starts at 87.700 yuan and ends at 128.700 yuan. Lone engine is a 1.5 with 109hp, mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.

The facelifted MG5 will finally get the long-promised 1.5 turbo but it won’t be that much faster as output is only 135hp. The 1.5 turbo will be mated to a new 6-speed DCT. Price of the 1.5 turbo will start just under 100.000 yuan and end around 150.000 yuan.

Small changes at the bumper and the strip between the rear lights seems new as well.
