Hengtian Auto has applied for patent on a new Huanteng H1 mini-SUV. The Huanteng (meaning ‘Jubilant’) H1 will be launched on the China car market sometime next year, price will start around 80.000 yuan.

The Huanteng H1 will be a smaller vehicle then the T3 pickup truck that was launched earlier this month. Power will likely come from a 1.5 liter engine with about 120 horses. The market for mini-SUV’s is growing fast in China, with many automakers entering the fray. Margins are low but sales numbers are potentially huge.
