Another new car from Greatwall for the Shanghai Auto Show. Well, new… The Greatwall Haval M4 is based on the Greatwall Tengyi (Voleex) Florid and just got a nosejob to make it look more SUV-like. Engines are the same too: 1.3 and 1.5.

About names: cars sold under the ‘Hover’ name are called ‘Hafu’ in Chinese. Greatwal uses ‘Hover’ as the English name in China. For export however Greatwall will use ‘Haval’ because the Hover-name was already taken in most countries. Hover/Hafu/Haval is for the SUV’s. Greatwall uses another name for the sedans and htachbacks; Tengyi, or Voleex in English.
