The China-made Citroen C5 has received another facelift and is good to go for another two years or so. The facelift includes new headlights, a new grille, new bumpers, new tail lights, and an updated interior. The facelifted Citroen C5 will launch on the Chinese car market next month.

The interior gets a big upgrade with an all new dashboard and steering wheel. The instrument panel is fully digital on a 12.3 inch screen. The touch screen is 8 inch and comes with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink.

Sales of the Citroen C5 are slow because it is an aging car. The facelift is a stop gap for until the new car arrives in 2019 or 2020. Two facelifted C5 will be available with two engines: a 167 hp 1.6 turbo and a 204 hp 1.8 turbo. The 2.0 and 2.3 have been deleted. Price will range from 180.000 to 220.000 yuan.

The Citroen C5 is made by the Dongfeng-PSA joint venture.

Citroen calls it the “the third generation C5”, as if it is a completely new car. This kind of grandiose names for simple facelifts are very common in China.
