Live shots of the new Luxgen U5, a compact crossover SUV that will be launched on the Chinese car market in October. It looks very nice with a two-tone color scheme, sharply cut headlights, a big grille, black wheel arches, and oh so trendy roof rails.

High end versions will get a big touch screen, cheaper ones will get a smaller screen.

Seats with trendy red detailing.

The new Luxgen U5 will be powered by a 1.6 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 124hp and 153nm, mated to a CVT, sending horses to the front wheels. Size: 4395/1763/1594, and wheelbase is 2620.

The Luxgen U5 will be positioned below the Luxgen U6. Price will range from around 80.000 to 120.000 yuan.

Luxgen is a brand from the Taiwanese Yulong Group. Luxgen cars are made in Taiwan by Yulong, and in China by the Dongfeng-Yulong joint venture.

Now that is a proper light unit!
