The production version of the BYD E6 was waiting outside the exibition hall for the Beijing Auto Show. On the right a BYD E6 taxi from a pilot project in Shenzhen. The E6 is a pure electric MPV and can drive, so BYD sais, 300 km on a single charge, top speed is 160km/h and it ony needs 15 minutes for a 80% charge. Mind that last claim, that is not a charge at home but at a special ‘3C’ full-powered charging station.

Size: 4554mmx1822mmx1630mm, wheelbase is 2830mm. 0-100 kilometers takes 10 seconds. Price yet unknown but likely to start around 250.000 rmb.
