Last week the well informed website TheTruthAboutCars reported that Nissan would launch a plug-in EV in China in 2015. It would not be the Leaf but a new car under the Venucia-brand, a sub-brand from the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture.

However, the pic above clearly shows a car that loox very much like the Nissan Leaf. Pic comes from someone inside Venucia. Maybe Nissan will just rebadge the Leaf as a Venucia and sell it a bit cheaper. Then indeed it isn’t a Leaf, only almost.
