Chengdu Auto Show 2011: new Honda Civic sedan for China

The new Honda Civic sedan was launched at the 2011 Chengdu Auto Show, it will be listed on the Chinese car market in late October. Price will start around 120.000 yuan. The CIvic is made in China by the Dongfeng-Honda joint venture. The China-Civic is basically the same car as the American Civic with some chrome added.

There will be two engines: 1.8 with 142hp and 2.0 with 157hp. The 1.8 will be available with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic, the 2.0 is automatic-only. The 2.0 will be sold as, marketing marketing, ‘Type S’, where ‘S’ stands for Sport.
