Spy Shots: new FAW-Besturn B70 testing in China
Spy shots of the new FAW-Besturn B70. The basic shape of the car will shape too much to speak of just a ‘facelift’. Front is completely redesigned and will get a much more lower stand, more sporty, more aggressive. The new Besturn B70 is expected to hit the market in the second half of this year. It likely won’t debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April because all attention there has to go to the all-new Besturn B90.
Compare with current car. The Besturn B70 is based on the old Mazda 6 from the FAW-Mazda joint venture. Chinese media however reports that FAW has developed its own new 1.8 engine for this new B70.That would be a first so I am a bit skeptical here. FAW hasn’t released any specs yet. Price of the new B70 will start around 130.000 yuan and end around 190.000 yuan, just like the current B70.
