Spy Shots: facelifted Suzuki Alto showing a bit more in China

New spy shots from the upcoming facelift for the Suzuki Alto, see our earlier pics here. New pics shed some light on the new lights up front. Lights are getting a lot smaller, let’s say more elegant, than the current Alto. Other changes include a new grill, new front-bumper, and newly designed alloys.

New lights at the back as well, new bumper, probably some changes at the rear-window. The facelifted Alto is expected to hit the Chinese car market in the second half of this year. The Alto is made in China by the Chang’an-Suzuki joint venture.

Price starts at 44.900 yuan and ends at 62.900 yuan. Power comes from a 1.0 four-cylinder that poops out 71hp. Engine will continue is the facelifted car and price will be about the same. Another Chinese car company called Zotye has launched its own ‘interpretation’ of the Alto, priced dirt cheap at 23.800 yuan. Quality will be horrible, engine is powerless, but both cars have the same size and loox. Sure zotye will manage to steal some sales away. Suzuki has yet to respond…
