Chery is working on a facelift for the E5 sedan, it will be launched on the Chinese car market late this year, debut is likely at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December. It is a facelift coming fast, the current Chery E5 debuted only in July last year.

The facelifted E5 will get a new 1.6 DVVT engine with 126hp and 160nm. The current 1.6 with 109hp and 140nm will disappear. The current 1.8 with 132hp and 170nm will continue. Transmission: 5-speed manual or CVT. Price of the current E5 starts at 59.800 yuan and ends at 81.800 yuan.
