Dongfeng-Nissan Venucia R50 launched on the China car market

The Dongfeng-Nissan Venucia R50 has been launched on the Chinese auto market, price starts at 67.800 yuan and ends at 83.800 yuan. Lone engine is a Nissan 1.6 with 116hp and 153nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.

Venucia is a sub-brand of the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture, aimed at making cheap cars and cheap electric cars. The R50 is the second Venucia after the Venucia D50, which was launched in early May and is based on the old Nissan Tiida sedan, the R50 is based on the old Tiida hatchback.

Well, it got a new front and a semi-new back but it is still easy to see this is an old car. When in production however the Tidda hatch started around 90.000 yuan so this Venucia R50 is much cheaper in a segment where price counts very much. Might sell all right…
