Police in the great beach city of Yantai in Shandong Province bought 50 MK2 Volkswagen Jetta patrol cars for local law enforcement. The MK2 Volkswagen Jetta is still in production in China, made by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. The new PQ25-based Jetta debuted in August but the MK2 Jetta will still continue for at least another two years. Taxi drivers and policemen just love this fine little vehicle too much so Volkswagen keeps it going along.
