The first spy shots from an all-naked Skoda Rapid in China. The Skoda Raid will be launched on the Chinese car market next year, priced between 80.000 and 100.000 yuan. The Rapid is made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture.

The Skoda Rapid will get power from a 90hp 1.4 or a 110hp 1.6, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-s-eed automatic. The Rapid stands on the same PQ25 platform that also underpins the Shanghai-Volkswagen Santana and the FAW-Volkswagen Jetta. Three very similar cars for almost the same price; Volkswagen is beginning to look like a local Chinese auto maker…
