New spy shots from the China-made Cadillac XTS, seen by reader Chiprdan on a highway near Shanghai. The vehicle is likely underway or comes back from a test facility. The China-made Cadillac XTS will debut on the April 2013 Shanghai Auto Show, it will be launched on the Chinese car market in the first half of next year.

The Cadillac XTS is made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture, it stands on a stretched variant of the Epsilon II platform that also underpins other China-made GM autocars such as the Buick Regal, Buick Lacrosse and the Chevrolet Malibu. the XTS will be available with a 2.0 turbo and a 3.6 V6.

  1. I don’t find this surprising heck it even has the requisite rain as it’s been raining here in Shanghai nearly everyday for a month.

    I don’t think this car is going to sell well, it just doesn’t compete against the Germans in perception in China (or anywhere else for that matter)

    I wonder how the Chinese CUE system is going to fare here with their love of bling on everything.
