The first spy shots of the new Skoda Octavia testing in China. The new Skoda Octavia debuted internationally on the Geneva Motor Show last week and will debut in China on the Shanghai Auto Show in April. The new Octavia will then be launched on the Chinese car market in May.

The Skoda Octavia is made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture. Price starts at 122.00 yuan and ends at 180.500 yuan. Engines: 1.4 TSI, 1.6, and 1.8 TSI. The new China-made Skoda Octavia will be powered by a 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TSI, 1.8 TSI and a hot 2.0 TSI for the Skoda Octavia RS.

Skoda is becoming is very popular brand in China, stealing sales mostly from Volkswagen and some from GM. A whole new line of cars is expected to enter the Chinese market, including the Skoda Rapid and a stretched Skoda Yeti.
