The MG CS SUV concept has debuted on the Shanghai Auto Show. The MG CS previews a new MG SUV that will be launched on the China car market in 2014, based on the based on the platform that underpins the MG5. The MG SUV will compete with fine cars such as the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

There will be two engines: a 135hp 1.5 liter turbo and a new 2.0 turbo. Price of the cheapest 1.5 turbo will start around 145.000 yuan. The design of the concept is still rather hip for the MG brand but by far not as wild as the not-too-well received MG Icon concept that debuted on the 2012 Beijing Auto Show.
