Volkswagen has applied for patent on the Golf 7 Variant for the Chinese car market, it will debut in China later this year, likely at the Chengdu Auto Show in September. The Golf 7 Variant will be imported into China, just like the current Golf 6 Variant. The Golf 7 hatchback will be made in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. The market for wagons is still small, but growing steadily as more and more young families discover a wagon can be useful and hip at the same time.
