The upcoming facelifted Kia K5 will get a 2.0 turbocharged engine for the China car market. The engine will have an output of 240hp and 350nm, mated to a six-speed automatic. Price will range from around 240.000 to 300.000 yuan. The facelifted Kia K5 is expected to debut on the Chengdu Auto Show in September.

The current Kia K5 (pictured) is made in China by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture and is currently available with a 2.0 with 160hp or a 2.4 with 180hp. Price starts at 129.800 and ends at 249.800 yuan. Both engines will continue in the facelifted Kia K5. The 2.0 turbo is an addition to the line-up, not a replacement, although the old 2.4 seems ready to go.
