The China-made Citroen DS5 has been launched on the China car market. Price starts at 219.900 yuan and ends at 301.900 yuan. The DS5 is made in China by the Changan-PSA joint venture, it will soon be followed by the DS4, the DS3, and the DS X7 SUV.

The Citroen DS5 is available with only one engine, in two different trims: a 1.6 turbo with 163hp and 240hp, and the same 1.6 turbo with 200hp and 275nm. The special hatchback-wagon shape of the DS5, and its beautiful weirdness, will certainly appeal to some Chinese buyers. But it seems unlikely the DS5 will be a grande success in a still rather conservative market where most buyers go for a sedan, especially in the segment where the DS5 is operating.

Citroen shipped in French movie chick Sophie Marceau, who loox very hot but is really 46 years old. Still selling cars at this point in her career… But she is aging well!
