The Haima M8 sedan was launched on the China car market last week. Sadly, the photos of the launch ceremony were not very good. We make up for that today, because we are busy with Haima anyway. Here is the new Haima M8 in all glory from all sides. The Haima M8 is the largest Haima-branded car ever.
Price starts at 126.800 yuan and ends at 166.800 yuan, positioning the Haima M8 straight in one of the hottest market segments in China, a segment where Haima has no previous experience. The Haima M8 will compete with fine cars such as the Changan Raeton and the Geely Emgrand EC8.
Design of dash is not bad at all. Beige plastics a bit on the cheap side but black is better and wood is good. Nice multifunctional steering wheel and a clear, but slightly small, screen in the center console.
Power comes from a 2.0 liter four-cylinder with 156hp and 187nm, mated to a 6-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Haima is still working on a new 1.8 turbo but it won’t be arrive before late next year. Size: 4845/1830/1475, wheelbase is 2800.
Wheels fit perfectly in wheel arches, much better than Haima M5 is this department!
C-style strong. Sporty stance. Exhaust pipes fit neatly in bumper. Rear lights seem a bit too big. Overall a neat looking vehicle, definitely the best looking Haima for the moment.
The 2.0.
So, is it M8 or H8, ‘cos I’m confused?
Check & Fixed. Thank you.
