Spy Shots: new China-only Volkswagen sedan
New spy shots of a new China-only Volkswagen sedan, looking kinda mixed with the front of a Golf and the back of a Skoda Octavia. The new sedan will be positioned above the equally China-only Volkswagen Octavia. The sedan will be based on Volkswagen’s MQB platform. It will be made in China by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture.
The interior looks very Golf 7. Note red panic button on the center tunnel, a typical feature in test cars, pressing it will switch off all electric power and thus the car. The new sedan will be powered by 1.6, 1.4 TSI and 1.8 TSI engines. It will be launched on the Chinese auto market in the second half of 2014. Price will start around 150.000 yuan and end around 190.000 yuan.
Interestingly this particular test car comes with a hook. What will she pull?
