Everus S1 gets a 1.3 in China

The Everus S1 1.3 has been launched on the China car market. Price starts at 67.800 yuan and ends at 77.800 yuan. The engine poops out 82hp and 116nm, sending power to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic. Up until now the Everus S1 was only available with a 1.5.

Everus is a sub-brand of the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture. The S1 is the brand’s only car, it is based on the last generation Honda City sedan that was made in China by Guangzhou-Honda. The 1.3 engine has a strange history. When the Everus S1 was launched in 2011 it was available. When the facelifted S1 debuted in May last year the 1.3 was cancelled. And now it is, back again.

Aesthetically, the rear treatment is a step backward from the original of 2011. I think it looks cluttered and disjointed.
