New spy shots of the facelifted MG6 testing in China. The facelift includes a partly new grille with a larger MG logo, new headlights, a new front bumper with LED lights, a new rear bumper, and new rear lights. The facelifted MG6 will debut in September on the Chengdu Auto Show and launch on the Chinese car market in Q4.

The current MG6 fastback. Price starts at 104.800 yuan and ends at 192.800 yuan. Engines: 133hp 1.8 and a 160hp 1.8 turbo, both mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.

  1. Great to see MG’s styling evolve. The new 6 looks sharper and more expensive. This, together with the 5 Coupe and CS SUV, gives the company a much better image. Let’s hope their new engines appear in these new models. Then they really will have some serious contenders.

  2. Why fiddle with the nose/tail (will anyone really notice/care about the difference and will it further damage residuals on the current version?) when there are easier and more important things to fix, eg interior plastics and that awful flimsy keyfob…

    • I have seen photos of the facelifted MG6 interior on Chinese sites but no confirmation that it has reached the UK yet with other planned mods…
