The best spy shots so far of the facelifted MG6 in China. It will debut on the Chengdu Auto Show in September and launch on the Chinese auto market in Q4. The facelift includes new headlights, a new grille with a large MG logo, a new front bumper, a new rear bumper, new rear lights, and a new boot lid.
The current MG6. Price starts at 104.800 yuan and ends at 192.800 yuan. Engines: 133hp 1.8 and a 160hp 1.8 turbo, both mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
Engines and transmissions will continue in the facelifted MG6 and price will be about the same.
New bumper with large fake air vents and a nicely integrated exhaust pipe. New rear lights much better than messy old ones:
I wouldn’t call the old tail lights messy, more like interesting. New one could be any other car.
I miss single center fog light, and hate fake air vents.
I think the facelift makes the car more generic. The old headlights are unmistakeable, quite distinct. However I’ll wait until I see it in the flesh. The MG6 always looks much nicer up close than in photos.
