Spy Shots showing a new compact SUV for the Geely Emgrand brand, code named NL-3, featuring a grille similar to the one found on the Geely Emgrand EC9 sedan. The Emgrand NL-3 will be launched on the Chinese car market in late 2015, it will be positioned below the Geely Emgrand GX9 Pride SUV.
Hold on those nicely designed handle bars in the corners!, as the seats seem pretty flat. Radio located on an interesting position just in front of the gear lever; hard to control when the vehicle is in ‘D’ for ‘driving’. Large LCD screen seems partly touch and partly knob, with a similar knob on each side. Dials are sporty, and it has… a flat-bottomed steering wheel! That’s for racing.
Nice kink after C-pillar. Black plastic around the wheels. Sporty 5X2 alloys. Wing on the window. But no roof rack.
Single exhaust pipe on the right. The NL-3 will be available with three four-cylinder petrol engines: 1.8, 1.8 turbo, and with the ancient 2.4. Transmissions: 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Price will start around 70.000 yuan and end around 110.000 yuan.
That grille is good.
