The brand new Beijing Auto Senova X55 SUV has been unveiled on the Shanghai Auto Show. The The Senova X55 is a new compact SUV that will be launched on the Chinese car market in the second half of 2015, it will be positioned under the Senova X65.
The Senova X55 will be available with two four-cylinder petrol engines: a Mitsubishi-sourced 1.5 with 113hp and 147nm mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT, and a 150hp 1.5 turbo mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. FWD only. Price will start around 80.000 yuan and end around 130.000 yuan.
Interior looks nice, with red stitching on the seats, some carbon-style detailing, a sporty instrument binnacle, and a mid-sized LCD in the center console.
Roof rack more fashion than useful. Rear spoiler with integrated brake light. Subtle chrome strip connecting the rear lights. Large skid pad with the exhaust pipes hanging just a bit too low.
A safe but attractive design. Typical Senova grille. Shiny skid pad under the bumper.
