The best Spy Shots so far of the new Geely Emgrand NL-3, featuring a grille similar to the one found on the Geely Emgrand GC9 Borui sedan, impressive shiny bars in the bumper, a lower grille supported by a matte gray bar, and fashionably small headlights.
The NL-3 is a new compact SUV for Geely’s Emgrand brand. It will be launched on the Chinese car market in late 2015, positioned below the Geely Emgrand GX9 Pride SUV. There will be three engines available: a 1.8, a 1.8 turbo, and the aging 2.4 that somehow pops up in every new Geely we see.
Still hiding the ass, but we can see some… Rear lights in the large side. D-pillar hiply shaped with a thin chrome bar connecting the C and D. Rear window with a trendy curve, and a huge skid pad on and under the bumper. Black plastic around the wheel arches for that crossover feeling.
Front end design leaves much to be desired. It’s mishmash. Are we now going to see Mr. Horbury’s Borui grille grafted onto the face of every other Geely model?
Hopefully like the Borui that came before it, the NL-3 will have the same degree of refinement, finesse and performance.
The handlebar mustache chrome trim can be their new design identity, good to see not just copying others.
