The very first Spy Shots of the new Volkswagen Bora for China. The new Bora will be launched on the Chinese car market in the fall. Price will start around 110.000 yuan and end around 150.000 yuan. The Volkswagen Bora is manufactured in China by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture.
This is the present Volkswagen Bora. It was launched in 2010 and it is based on the VW PQ35 platform. Price starts at 104.800 yuan and ends at 149.800 yuan. Engines: 105hp 1.6 and a 131hp 1.4 turbo. In march last year the Bora Sportline was added to the line-up, a sporty version without extra power.
The new Bora stands on an updated variant of the PQ35 platform, making for a slightly bigger car: 4562/1793/1468, and wheelbase is 2614 (plus 39/18/01/04). Interestingly, the engines will both continue in the new Bora. The 1.6 will get five extra horses for 110, and the 1.4 turbo will remain at 131.
