The new 2017 Buick Lacrosse will be launched on the Chinese car market in April. Price will range from 250.000 to 35o.000 yuan ($39.000 – 55.000). The LaCrosse will be manufactured in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture.

The Buick LaCrosse will be available with two four-cylinder petrol engines: a 1.5 turbo with 160hp and 250nm and a 2.0 turbo with 252hp and 350nm, both mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The engine line-up is the same as in the new China-made Chevrolet Malibu XL, and the 2.0 turbo will also power the new Cadillac XT5 SUV. The U.S. 3.6 liter V6 won’t be available in China, heavy taxes on big engines would make it too expensive.

The LaCrosse will get a lot of tech: GM’s IntelliLink infotainment system, GM’s IntelliSafe intelligent driving system, a ‘4G LTE’ wifi hotspot that can connect up to seven devices within 700 square meters from the vehicle, Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife (allows the on-board infotainment system to work with popular Baidu apps), wireless charging for mobile devices, and a trendy head-up display.
