This is the new JAC iEVA50, a super sleek electric sedan from China with a claimed range of 500 kilometers. The JAC iEVA50 will be launched on the Chinese car market in March.
Power comes from an electric motor over the front axle. Output is 144 hp. Batteries (60 kWh) are located under the rear bench. There will also be a base version with the same motor but with a less powerful battery pack (47 kWh), good for a 330 kilometer range, which is quite impressive still.
Size: 4590/1765/1490, wheelbase is 2710.
The interior is a tad too dark for my taste but the tech is good; a large touch screen and a fully digital instrument panel. Steering wheel however looks outdated.
Blue is the color of green cars in China so many Chinese EVs have blue detailing, as seen here under the drive selector.
Price for the JAC iEVA50 will start around 70.000 yuan ($11,100) after subsidies.
JAC is one of China’s most experienced EV makers. They have long been selling EVs under their own name, and they have EV-making joint ventures with NIO and with Volkswagen.
