This is the Roewe i5, a classy new compact sedan for China. The Roewe i5 is the sedan version of the Roewe Ei5 wagon, it will be launched on the Chinese car market in Q3.
The wagon is currently only available as an electric, whereas the sedan will initially be petrol-only. eventually however, both will be available as an electric (Ei5) and as a petrol (i5). Not sure why Roewe choose to launch in such a somewhat confusing way. Old habits die hard, I guess.
Engines for the i5: 1.5 with 116 hp and 142 Nm, and a 1.5 turbo with 169 hp and 250 Nm. The engines will be mated to a six-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. Size: 4601/1818/1489, wheelbase is 2680.
Very stylish at the back, with the Roewe name under the subtle spoiler, and a large i5 badge on the left.
