This is the new Beijing Auto Senova X55, a compact SUV that will be launched on the Chinese car market in September. The new X55 looks stylish and modern, a huge improvement over the boring outgoing car.
This is the outgoing one. List price starts at 79.800 yuan and ends at 119.800 yuan. But dealer prices are going down fast, now that the new car is one the way. The dealer will sell you the base car for just 49.900 and the top end car for 79.800 yuan. That’s a proper rebate! Engines: 116 hp 1.5 and a 150 hp 1.5 turbo. ‘Boxes: 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and a CVT.
The new Senova X55 keeps the 1.5 turbo, but the 1.5 has been deleted. The CVT will be the only gearbox option. An electric version will be added to the lineup in early 2019. Size: 4480/1837/1680, wheelbase is 2665.
Price will start around 90.000 yuan and end around 130.000 yuan.
The instrument panel has two traditional dials with a 7-inch screen in the middle. The main screen is 9 inch. The ‘AliOS’ operating system for the infotainment comes from Alibaba. Beijing Auto says the system comes with a voice control module that can understand 21 kinds of Chinese dialect.
