Recently, Chery released the official images of the new Lanyue SUV under its Exeed brand. The new car is facelifted from the current model on the market and will be officially launched on April 8 in China. The overall exterior design of the new car has not changed much. The interior will be upgraded to a triple-screen design. There are six models currently on sale with a price range of 179,900 – 233,900 RMB (25,900 – 33,700 USD).
The new Exeed Lanyue is set to focus on the 6-seater and 7-seater SUV market segments, potentially competing with Lynk & Co 09 and Changan CS95. In terms of appearance, the front has a large polygonal grille decorated with vertical strips, connected to the slender headlights on both sides. The triangular air vents on the lower front are inlaid with vertically arranged LED light groups. The Exeed Lanyue will also add a new silver body color for customers to choose from.
The size of the car the Exeed Lanyue is 4970/1940/1792mm with a wheelbase of 2900mm. From the side, the window and door frames are decorated with chrome strips and the car runs on 20-inch dense-spoke wheels. Additionally, the front and rear fenders are shaped slightly wider than the car body. The rear adopts a through-type taillight design with exhaust pipes at the bottom.
The interior will be replaced with a built-in triple screen with a full LCD instrument panel, a central control screen, and a co-pilot screen. The center console will remove all physical buttons and will be equipped with a large storage compartment. The flat-bottom steering wheel has four spokes.
The computing platform will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.
The new Exeed Lanyue will add a six-seater version. The high-end version will support front-seat ventilation/heating/massage, second-row seat ventilation/heating, and third-row seats can be electronically adjusted. The seats are also made of leather.
Power will remain unchanged as the current model and come from a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 261 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DCT. Two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions will be available.
