Recently, Geely officially announced that its upcoming compact SUV – Boyue Cool, will officially launch on April 26. The new car is a new member of the Boyue series. Pre-sale has already started with three models model at a price range of 109,000 – 129,000 RMB (15,800 – 18,700 USD).
In terms of appearance, Boyue Cool adopts Geely’s “Starburst Vision” design language, targeting the younger consumer group. As a compact SUV, the size of the Boyue Cool is 4510/1865/1650mm, with a 2701mm wheelbase.
Specifically, the front grille has an angular element with the interior decorated with a three-dimensional matrix design. There are multiple raised lines on the engine compartment cover, further enhancing the sportiness of the car.
At the rear, Geely Boyue Cool has a through-type taillight group with Y-shaped elements on both sides for embellishment coupled with four exhaust outlets.
The interior has a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a large 13.2-inch vertical central control screen with a resolution of 1440×1920, a double-spoke steering wheel, a 1.12㎡ panoramic sunroof, and 72-color ambient lights. The computing platform is supported by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, with 16G memory + 128G storage, a 7nm processor, and an 8-core CPU. Voice interaction and facial recognition capabilities are also available.
In terms of safety configurations, Geely Boyue Cool is equipped with a level 2 driving assistance system with 13 functions including intelligent cruise control, autonomous emergency braking pedestrian, and emergency lane-keeping. Furthermore, the car comes standard with the Bosch 9.3 generation ESP body stabilization system.
There are 39 storage spaces throughout the car and a 571L trunk volume.
Power comes from a 1.5TD four-cylinder engine jointly developed by Volvo and Geely with a maximum power of 133 kW and a peak torque of 290 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DCT. Furthermore, Geely claims that the Boyue Cool takes only 7.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h.
