On April 24, Geely launched its new 2023 Binyue Cool Champion Edition compact SUV, with a price tag of 103,800 RMB (15,000 USD). Some notable changes from the current model are a brand-new panoramic sunroof, electronically adjustable driver seat, and a large roof spoiler.
Positioned as a compact SUV, the size of the 2023 Geely Binyue Cool is 4380/1800/1609mm, and the wheelbase is 2600mm. In terms of appearance, it adopts the popular suspended roof design. The car runs on 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels with built-in red sports calipers.
The front has a large borderless polygonal blackened grille that almost occupied the entire front face. The headlight group is connected to the grille. Red decorations can also be seen throughout the front face. Furthermore, the large spoiler and four exhaust outlets in the rear further enhance the sportiness of the car. The popular through-type taillight group design is also present.
Power comes from a Geely 1.5TD four-cylinder engine that outputs 133 kW (181 hp) and 290 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DCT.
The interior adopts a dual-color scheme decorated with a hint of green chrome-plated trim across the dashboard. A 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central control screen are not absent. Wireless charging is available on the center console for mobile phones, with a maximum charging power of 15W.
Other features include a GPS navigation system, Bluetooth, OTA update, voice recognition, and remote control.
In terms of safety configurations, the 2023 Geely Binyue Cool is equipped with four exterior cameras and four ultrasonic radars to support functions including intelligent cruise control, autonomous parking, hill descent control, and hill start assist.
The seat is made of fake leather. The driver seat can be adjusted electronically and supports forward and backward movement, height adjustment, and backrest angle. The co-pilot seat also supports forward and backward movement and backrest angle adjustment.
