Built based on the E0X all-electric platform and an all-aluminum chassis design, the size of the Sterra ES is 4945/1978/1480mm, and the wheelbase is 3000mm. The car will offer two powertrain options: two-wheel drive with a single motor and four-wheel drive with dual motors, equipped with an 800V fast charging architecture, and powered by CATL batteries. Its pure electric cruising range can reach up to 700 km and can achieve 150 km of battery life in just five minutes with fast charging, according to the carmaker.

In terms of appearance, the Sterra ES looks sporty. Its front face has a closed grille, signifying its electric identity. The sharp headlights on both sides, through-type LED lights in the middle, and interactive lights at the bottom further enhance the visual effect of the car. In addition, a lidar is located above the windshield, implying advanced driving assistance capabilities.

In the rear, the tail can automatically lift. The taillight adopts the through-type design.

From the side, the body is slender with a slip-back design and comes with the popular pop-out door handles. The windows are decorated with chrome-plated trim and a panoramic sunroof is not absent.

Inside, the interior is minimalistic with a relatively small LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, a head-up display, and a flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel with scrollable physical buttons on both sides. The computing platform is supported by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and the operating system comes from Huawei’s Harmony OS. Furthermore, the center console area is elevated angle and supports wireless charging. Chery also claims that there are more than 30 storage spaces throughout the car.
