Baojun Yunduo opens blind orders in China, price may start at 13,900 USD, will launch on August 10

The blind ordering for the Baojun Yunduo five-seater EV is now open, offering two models each with a pure electric cruising range of 360 km and 460 km. Customers can place blind orders through the SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGWM) official website. The new car’s price will be announced on August 10 and will also be launched on that same date. According to some dealers in China, the starting price may be around 100,000 yuan (13,900 USD).

The size of the car measures 4295/1850/1652mm, and the wheelbase is 2700mm. Compared with the BYD Dolphin which measures 4150/1770/1570mm, and the wheelbase is 2700mm, the Baojun Yunduo is larger. It runs on 215/60 R17 tires and comes with a panoramic sunroof. In addition, it is available in three exterior colors for consumers to choose from: white, purple, and green; and two interior colors of emerald and beige.

In terms of power, Baojun Yunduo provides two battery options of 37.9 kWh and 50.6 kWh, and the corresponding cruising range is 360 km and 460 km, respectively. It is worth mentioning that its battery pack is designed based on a module-less technology and contains a liquid-cooled thermal management system, according to the brand. Under fast charging mode, it takes less than 30 minutes to charge from 30% – 80%, and a 220V external power interface is supported. The maximum power of the motor is 100 kW and the peak torque is 200 Nm.

Inside, the interior is minimalistic and refreshing, decorated with emerald green. It comes standard with an 8.8-inch instrument panel and a 15.6-inch central touch display supported by the Ling OS 2.0. Other configurations include 256-color ambient lights and front-row wireless charging.

In terms of safety, the car offers autonomous parking, adaptive cruise control, electronic stability control, and dual front airbags.

Furthermore, Baojun claims that the seat adopts the Italian bubble sofa style to resemble the living room atmosphere, filled with high-density foams. The seats come standard with independent headrests. The high-end models support 6-way electric adjustment for the driver seat and 4-way electric adjustment for the co-pilot seat.

In May of this year, Baojun, which has been quiet in terms of new car releases, first released a new brand logo, then launched the Yue Ye. Let’s see how well Yunduo performs in the market.
