The deliveries comprised 14,066 electric SUVs (mainly ES6) and 6,396 electric sedans (mainly ET5). Cumulative deliveries of Nio vehicles since 2018 reached 364,579 as of July 31, 2023.

William Li previously confirmed the company is confident it will deliver 250,000 EVs in 2023. The deliveries in the first seven months of 2023 reached 75,023 units, up 23% from the first seven months of 2022. To complete the target, Nio needs to sell 25,000 vehicles per month in the next five months, which may be challenging.

It is worth noting that the sales of the ES6 SUV alone exceeded 10,000 units this month. This is the first time that Nio has achieved monthly sales of 10,000 units for a single model.

In June, Nio announced that it would no longer give new car owners free battery replacement services six times a month. However, the prices of all models have been lowered by 30,000 yuan (4,200 USD), which the market considers to be a price cut in disguise. Since then, Nio has received many new orders and broke sales records.

On June 28, the second generation of Nio’s 7-seater SUV flagship ES8 started deliveries in China. That will start to affect sales in mid-July and with full force in August.
