Sales of Wuling Bingo exceeded 20,000 in July, and cumulative sales exceeded 80,000

On August 1st, SGMW (SAIC-GM-Wuling) released the sales data for its Wuling Bingo models in July. The Wuling Bingo achieved record sales of 20,064 vehicles in July, breaking through the 20,000 mark for the first time. This represents a 4.6% increase compared to the previous month. Since its launch, the cumulative sales of the Wuling Bingo have reached an impressive 81,336 vehicles.

SGMW is a joint venture between SAIC, GM, and Wuling. GM holds 44% of the shares, while SAIC and Wuling have 56%. The Wuling Bingo product line currently offers seven different configurations, with prices ranging from 59,800 yuan to 84,800 yuan (11,800 USD). Among them, the starting price of the Bingo 203km version is 59,800 yuan (8,300 USD), and the starting price of the 333km version is 73,800 yuan (10,300 USD).

Parameters of Bingo

The Wuling Bingo is available in two power versions, equipped with motors delivering maximum power outputs of 30kW and 50kW, respectively, along with a peak torque of 150Nm. The Wuling Bingo EV models are fitted with a 17.3 kWh or 31.9 kWh LFP battery, providing CLTC pure electric cruising ranges of 203km and 333km, respectively. Additionally, the vehicles support fast charging, making them convenient for users.

Inside the Wuling Bingo, multiple screens enhance the driving experience. The car features a 7-inch instrument panel and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, providing drivers and passengers with essential information and entertainment options.

The main competitors of Bingo

The Wuling Bingo faces competition primarily from the BYD Seagull in the Chinese market. Launched in late April, the BYD Seagull offers a range of 305 kilometers and is priced at 73,800 yuan (10,300 USD). Notably, this price matches the 333km version of the Wuling Bingo, positioning them as direct competitors.

Regarding sales performance, the BYD Seagull achieved sales of 23,005 vehicles in June. However, specific sales figures for the Seagull in July have not been announced yet. We will continue to report on any updates regarding its sales performance.
