Dongfeng eπ 007 all-electric sedan will unveil on November 6 in China

On October 19, Dongfeng released the official images of its eπ 007 (codenamed S73) pure electric sedan. The 007 was previously declared under the 001 name on the Chinese MIIT. The new car will be officially unveiled on November 6 and is expected to start pre-sale at the end of the year.

eπ is a brand under Dongfeng that focuses on pure electric vehicles to help Dongfeng achieve 100% electrification by 2024. According to Dongfeng, ‘e’ stands for electron, and ‘π’ reflects the scientific spirit of humans to explore the unknowns.

Positioned as a pure electric medium-to-large sedan, Dongfeng eπ 007 measures 4880/1895(1915)/1460 mm, with a 2915 mm wheelbase. From the side, the roof line slopes downward toward the rear of the car, matched with frameless scissor doors, hidden door handles, black side skirts, and five-spoke rims.

At the same time, the new car will offer multiple rim styles, optional calipers, cameras, and lidars, according to the previously declared information.

Based on the Dongfeng Quantum architecture, the 007 will be equipped with the Dongfeng Mach E powertrain system and SOA electronic and electrical architecture, and will support fast charging. Customers can choose from both single-motor and dual-motor versions. The single-motor low-power version is equipped with a 160 kW electric motor while the single-motor high-power version is equipped with a 200 kW electric motor. The dual-motor version is equipped with two 200 kW electric motors. The battery pack is lithium iron phosphate type.

Under fast charging, replenishing the battery from 30% to 80% takes 26 minutes. In addition, Dongfeng eπ 007 will also have a range-extender version in the future, but the specific information has not yet been exposed.

Furthermore, the closed grille, the split headlights, and the bifurcated-shaped light group under the headlight on the front face are highly recognizable. The rear has through-type taillights.

In the white and gray color scheme interior, there is an LCD instrument panel, a floating central control screen, and a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, according to previous spy photos. The center console has a storage compartment as well as cup holders. At this time, the cockpit has not been officially revealed, we’ll watch closely for more information.
