C-NCAP is a car safety and crash performance assessment program founded in China in 2006. Nowadays, it stands close to the Euro-NCAP assessment program. In the C-NCAP tests, the vehicle safety is evaluated from 0 to 100%. Then, percentages are converted into stars. The C-NCAP includes tests for vehicle occupants (adults and children), pedestrians, and safety assistance functions.

The L7 scored highest in the vehicle occupant protection segment, with 92.71% (9.57% higher than average). It scored 21.68/24 and 21.29/24 points in the full-width collision and the collision with a mobile deformable barrier, respectively. During the collisions, only the legs and chest of the occupants faced minor damage. This crossover got 16/16 points for the side pole collision.

But its sales number isn’t that impressive. Geely sells around 10,000 units monthly. For clarity, the BYD Song Plus sells about 30,000 units each month.
