The Zeekr CX1E electric crossover from Geely Group was spotted in China during road tests. It will become the sixth model in the line after 001, 009, X, 007, and CM2E MPV. The CX1E features the Hidden Energy design language with the Zeekr Stargate light band in the front end. It also shares the platform ad tech with the recently launched Zeekr 007 sedan.
Zeekr is a high-end electric brand under the Geely Group. It sells both domestically and globally. The Zeekr model line currently comprises four models: 001 liftback, 009 MPV, X crossover, and 007 sedan. This year, Zeekr will launch two more models known by their codenames: the CM2E minivan and the CX1E SUV. Previously, we have covered the upcoming Zeekr’s MPV. Now, it’s time to speak about the newest crossover.
Zeekr CX1E spy shots
The Zeekr CX1E was spied during road tests wearing heavy camouflage. However, it is clear the new model adopts the Hidden Energy design language first introduced by the Zeekr 007 sedan. We can tell it by the smooth bonnet line and frameless side view mirrors.
From the side, the Zeekr CX1E features slanted D-pillars and a sloped roofline. Its doors have retractable handles. The top trim level CX1E will likely have buttons instead of handles. Speaking about the doors of the new crossover, they are frameless. Another fine detail of this crossover’s exterior styling is the five-spoke rims.
Inside, the Zeekr CX1E stays in line with the 007 sedan. It has the same main screen and instrument panel. But it features a new steering wheel with three spokes and flattened upper and lower sides. The gear selector sits behind the wheel. The rest of the interior is hidden.
Zeekr CX1E fan render images
Based on spy shots, Chinese designer Sugar Design created unofficial render images of the CX1E. According to his vision, the Zeekr CX1E resembles an SUV version of the 007 sedan. It has a LiDAR sensor on the roof and a single taillight strip in the back.
The exact dimensions of the Zeekr CX1E are unknown. However, it is seemingly bigger than the small Zeekr X crossover. The body length of the CX1E may reach 4.7 meters. In stands on the SEA architecture. This crossover will make its debut this year. More on the Zeekr CX1E as we get it!

Who comes up with these model names?
001, 007, 009 but why X CM2E and CX1E?
CM2E and CX1E seem to be development codes, the cars likely won’t be called like this. X is a bit strange, yes. Maybe it was originally planned as a Lynk&Co (it looks like one) and was then changed to Zeekr but didn’t fit into the naming scheme. I don’t know.
